About Us

We are a group of UK based writers and bloggers who have one important thing in common - we are passionate about middle grade fiction. We feel that for too long UK middle grade fiction has been the poor relation to YA as far as media coverage is concerned, and we want to readdress this by giving middle grade books a voice in the UK.

This is not an exclusive club, and we are happy to welcome anyone who wishes to contribute, be it regularly or occasionally, as long as you love middle grade fiction and you are based in the UK.

If you are interested in joining us please email us at mgstrikesback (at) gmail (dot) com.

Although you will find book reviews on Middle Grade Strikes Back we are not primarily a review site so unless you are with one of the British publishing houses with whom we are already in contact, we would prefer it if you did not contact us to ask if we would like to review your book.

  1. Hey there Middle Grade Jedis. It's nearly time for the third annual Middle Grade Book Bomb, a GLOBAL book drop for all readers, writers and purveyors of middle grade lit, and I would love to extend an invitation to all of your writers and blog readers to join in. The drop is happening on July 16th, 2016 and there are no restrictions or boundaries. In fact, it's meant to be flexible enough for each participant to tailor-make the experience and marketing opportunities, even though it is also a shared event. Please visit my website where you will find all the details as well as materials you can use to promote the event in the UK if you so desire. I hope to see some of you in the mix! http://www.gingermalacko.com/p/mg-book-bomb-2014.html #mgbookbomb
